Weekend in the Mountains

Day 1

Last weeekend i was on a bus trip to the south-central part of Romania. The itinerary was: Bucharest – Pitesti – Ramnicu Valcea – Targu Jiu and then to some small monastery near Targu Jiu.

First stop: the Polovragi Monastery and the Polovragi Cave, a beautiful and interesting cave near the monastery with the same name.
Second stop: the Women’s Cave.
Third stop (for the night): the Sf Treime Monastery.


Day 2

The itinerary for this day was Targu Jiu- Petrosani- the Prislop Monastery – the Lainici Monastery – Targu Jiu – Ramnicu Valcea – Pitesti – Bucharest. I got backhome around 11.30 PM.
First stop: the Prislop Monastery
Second stop: the Lainici Monastery
